Competency: Performance Improvement

 

Context/Action: Artsmith Media is a Drupal development, web design and web marketing company. They provide graphic design and web development services as well as strategies for communication and marketing, and support and maintenance. The company is using a web based project management and time tracking program called Redmine, which is open source software. The Redmine software is not being consistently used by all team members to record the tasks they are performing on each project. This causes the software to be unreliable in determining if all of the tasks are being done, if the proper numbers of hours are being spent on projects, and if the project has gone over budget.

 

Results: Artsmith Media decided to switch from Redmine to JIRA as their tracking program. My partner and I created a design plan for the JIRA training that would need to occur.
